A moment ago It was nothing but a white square. But the word is still just sounds. I wait. He speaks of metaphor and vehicle, and everything slides out of focus and I am surrounded by shapes.
I squint at lines and colors – I know they must have meaning but it tastes like snowflakes and is gone. Blink again and the shape resolves into my own hand.
